You might already own a few pieces of Type-2 denim jackets but we bet you are still looking for something special? We believe this UG new Type-2 denim jacket will give you satisfaction! The fabrics, unique design and construction are finished with all kinds of vintage machines!

Denim fabric:

We love denim that weighs from 13oz to 15oz. The weight in this range can be worn all year round and on many different occasions. For this reason we would like to present to you our own 13.2oz signature denim. To make a pair of 13.2oz denim with unique texture is not an easy task for anyone...

We worked with our factory in Japan to make this denim sample many times! Finally, we are so proud to show you our “Rain-Drop” textured signature UG denim. The warp of denim is made up of short fibre cotton and weft of denim is made up with long fibre cotton. When you touch our signature “Rain-Drop” denim in person, the surface has a very strong vertical texture which looks like “rain-drop” from the sky, however, the interior is comfy enough for your daily wear! This is the beautiful texture and contrast we love!

If you check the selvage ID, you will see it is a blend of light purple and silver. Light purple is recognised as mystical and the silver represents ’time & speed’. In our own words this is told as: “A pair of great denim will age to mystical ageing look with wear and wash through time. Each pair should look differently due to their owners’ different behaviours.”

Horsehide leather patch:

We like vintage details as well as high-end fashion vibes. For the leather patch of our 'Rain-Drop' denim, we would like it to look ‘simple’ at first glance like an old Levi’s paper patch, however, if you get close to have a look, you will notice that it is a beautiful high density, natural horsehide leather patch. This will age to a darker tone with use and the uneven dyed LOGO design will fade through time.

Silver coated iron buttons:

For a perfect pair of denim, of course buttons are important too! We use our specially developed silver coated iron buttons, with time, the buttons will age to a more rusty look like vintage Levi’s buttons. However, if you like the shinny look of the buttons, you can use silver polish cloth to clean them to look like silver! If you get close to see our buttons from big to small... you'll see the hidden message: “Texture Is Spiritual, Not Science, Not Science, Not Science, Not Science!”

Construction:

Sewn with vintage machines to achieve the ideal chain and single stitches we have created the ideal balance between vintage fading and durability. For the hand warmers and sleeve cuffs, a 5oz indigo thread dyed chambray fabric has been used for the lining. Stay cosy on those cool days! The front pleats feature extra heavyweight stitching as looking over most vintage Levis this area gets worn out! We even double stitched this area and implemented our signature 'U' shape which also adds more strength than classic box style construction.

Modern fit:

This has a longer vertical length and slimmer sleeves than the vintage Levi's Type-2 denim jacket that will fit for a more modern look!
